About me

I have built my career around health and safety, compliance and practical risk management across a wide range of working environments. My experience includes hospitality, large residential developments, heritage attractions and major event venues, giving me a broad understanding of the different risks and challenges faced by businesses and organisations.

Throughout my career, I have been responsible for assessing risk, developing safe systems of work, managing contractors, maintaining compliance standards and supporting fire safety arrangements. This practical experience has given me a strong understanding of how health and safety works in the real world, not simply how it appears on paper.

My approach is straightforward: health and safety should be proportionate, practical and easy to understand. Good safety management is about identifying genuine risks, putting sensible controls in place and giving people clear guidance they can actually follow.

Through PLA Safety Services, I aim to provide businesses with practical, professional support across areas including risk assessments, safe systems of work, health and safety documentation, fire safety and general compliance.

My professional development is supported through membership of IOSH, the Institute of Fire Safety Managers and the National Association of Fire Door Inspectors, helping me remain informed about current standards, guidance and good practice.
